Get to Know Impresa Modular

An industry leader in providing custom modular homes, at Impresa Modular we take pride in our ability to plan, develop and construct a truly custom crafted home. Our family of experienced consultants achieves this while promoting our core beliefs of service, quality, customer satisfaction, and value. We offer 100’s of classic designs, but they are typically nothing more than a starting point to be customized by customers to meet particular lifestyle and housing needs. More often we are using our modern modular building techniques to provide truly custom homes for our satisfied customers.

Modular homes from Impresa Modular combines the most desirable methods of traditional, site-built construction with the economic, technological and environmental advantages of building your new home in an indoor factory environment. The individual parts in any home (for example, a cabinet or a roof truss) are manufactured in a controlled factory environment according to defined specifications and tested to ensure that they meet applicable standards. Impresa Modular’s homes are no different – we create our homes using similar techniques. The modular building process results in a home that is built faster, greener, better, and with virtually none of the headaches presented by historic, site built construction.

Designing Your Modular Home

By being constructed in a factory, you have peace of mind knowing that your new home started its construction with quality built right in. Factory efficiency results in reduced costs and the quality control results in a superior product. The idea of building homes, especially the components that make up a home, in a factory is not a recent phenomenon. By using automatic assembly equipment and repetitive assembly-line techniques, factories assemble component parts more efficiently and with greater consistency in product quality. This is true whether the components are assembled to make a window or entire modular homes.

Structurally, modular homes have to be built much stronger than traditional homes. This is because each module must be engineered to independently withstand the rigors of transportation to your job site and then being lifted with straps by a crane and placed onto your foundation. Once together and with connections completed, the modules become one integrated wall, floor and roof assembly. Some complex finishes require completion onsite and are scheduled for done quickly after the installation of the modules on the foundation. You should expect to be moving into your new home in as little as 4-6 weeks after delivery of your home to your job site.

Planning for Modular Home

Modular Homes are Custom Homes

Impresa Modular builds custom homes. While we may have thousands of standard home plans to review, we rarely build with them. Our prospective home buyers will use those plans as a “good start” towards designing their own custom home plan or they will provide us with a custom house plan from another source. Some will use our free design tool and create their own house plan for us to “modularize” and use it to build their custom home. We are exclusive partners with a major custom house plan company, Architectural Designs, which makes available over 28,000 custom house plans. We have teamed with them to develop a modular friendly custom home plan collection that gives you access to thousands of house plans that can be purchased and built using modular construction.

There is really no such thing as a modular home. Modular is a construction technique, not a type of home. Impresa Modular is a custom home builder that chooses to only use modular construction for delivery of our custom built homes. Because we are the only nationwide modular home builder we have unique experience and insights that give you an advantage. Nearly all custom builders only build homes in small geographic areas limiting their exposure to ideas, new methods, and unique building materials. You get the benefit of our broad exposure to how custom homes are built across the country.

Energy Efficiency

Today’s homebuyer demands energy efficiency. Impresa Modular prides itself in building the most energy efficient home possible. Currently an Energy Star partner, Impresa Modular offers many features as standard that meets or exceeds current Energy Star, LEED, and Green Building Standards.  Impresa Modular allows you, the customer, the option to custom tailor any of our modular homes to meet the requirements for the program of your choosing. If it’s an optional Energy Star Certified home you require, Impresa Modular will team up with a third party Energy Star rater to guarantee your new home meets or exceeds the current requirements mandated by Energy Star.

Modern modular construction means less homeowner headaches. Indoor construction in a controlled environment means exterior finishes are completed last, instead of first. We can build your new home from the inside out, the opposite of conventional outdoor construction. What this means to you is that the building envelope of your new home can be constructed to be super energy efficient. This just comes standard with modular homes and their construction process. Increased insulation, better sealants, and the use of advanced materials are just a few of the reasons to adopt the worry-free benefits of modular construction for your new home.
