A Way to Better Living With Modular Homes
Buying an Impresa Modular home can provide many benefits when it comes to getting quality modular homes at the best value. As America’s only countrywide modular home builder, our size and experience in building custom modular homes gives us several unique abilities. We share the savings we obtain through our use of modern construction techniques, value engineering, and volume purchases of building materials with our clients. We call it giving our clients more home for their money, all while giving the highest level of service to you.
Using modern modular construction techniques allow us to deliver modular homes with the highest level of attention to detail. There once was a time when doors and windows were built on-site. But the pursuit of performance and innovation led to factory-built doors and windows of much higher quality and much greater energy efficiency. The art of home building is moving in the same direction. We are leading the way to a time where all new homes will be built in a factory environment. As a leader in custom modular construction, let the team at Impresa Modular share their expertise to provide you with a pleasing home building experience.
Creating Your Modular Home
With modular homes, in-factory construction quality is invariably better than that which is traditionally built on site. Lumber cut with a hand-held circular saw at a job site are not as precise as those cut with fixed tools in a factory. What’s more, factory inspections examine every construction feature from floor framing to final paint. Trained factory inspectors or independent third party inspectors perform more than a dozen inspections per home. Local building inspectors may only conduct three or four announced inspections on the average conventionally built home. All building materials are held out of the weather. Wet materials stored at many on-site building locations are built into the new home resulting in warped walls, ceilings and mold problems. With modular construction your new home is built to the highest possible standard and packaged for transport to your job site.
Delivery of your new custom modular home is routinely scheduled as soon as possible after factory completion and your home site is ready. Almost immediately after your home is finished in the factory, delivery is planned after confirmation that the job site is ready. Once your home is delivered, Impresa Modular will coordinate the installation of your home on the foundation with an experienced set and crane crew. It all takes place very quickly at this point in the process. At this stage, the site and basement utilities get finished, the heating system is installed (if not factory completed) and the concrete and yard work are finished. In the final stage, the interior finish will be completed between the modular sections, this will include finishing floor seams, mate wall doors and jambs, and drywall and paint touch up. Most modular homes will be finished within approximately 6 weeks of delivery and ready for you to enjoy!
Modular Construction Brings You Custom Homes By Design
When building a custom home you need to feel comfortable that your new home will be healthy for your family and designed for your lifestyle. You need to start with a house plan that supports how you want to live. You expect a custom home to be exactly that, custom. You want to make changes to floorplans, materials, and elevations. We utilize the design flexibility of modular construction to build your custom home utilizing our plans, or you have the choice to bring us your custom plan and have us “modularize” and build it.
Many years ago we determined that building outside just wasn’t the way we wanted to build our custom homes for our customers. We knew there was a better way – it was modular construction. As a custom home builder it was getting more difficult to realize the level of quality and consistency that we demanded of ourselves for our customers. Building a custom home outdoors in the weather and attempting to do it with a dwindling pool of skilled and experienced craftsmen was a daily challenge. To be a top custom home builder today demands the use of modern building techniques. This means we now have the Modular Advantage in our corner and we share it with our customers every day!
Energy Efficient By Design
A home built to the 2012 Energy Code is about 15 percent more efficient than a house built to the 2009 Energy Code. A house built to the 2015 Energy Code is almost 50% more energy efficient than one built to the 2009 Code. Today’s new homes must be more energy efficient. By including the Energy Star certification option to your new home, you could save up to $2,000 a year in energy costs and potentially more. Impresa Modular works with you to develop the right living environment. Attention to details like selecting a floorplan, choosing component features, lighting and heating are part of the process that defines our energy efficient custom modular homes.
Modern modular construction means less homeowner headaches. Indoor construction in a controlled environment means exterior finishes are finished last, instead of first. We can build your new home from the inside out, just the opposite of building outdoors. What this means to you is that the exterior envelope of your new home can be built to be more efficient. This just comes standard with modular homes and their construction process. More insulation, better sealants, and the use of high-tech materials are several of the reasons to select the worry-free benefits of modular construction for your new home.
