Safe and Healthy Living With Modular Homes
Designing Your Modular Home
Building off-site in a controlled environment using the modular construction methodology provides many inherent green advantages over conventional construction. It does this by minimizing disturbance to the site, reducing vehicular traffic, and lowering the construction costs of modular homes. Building in a controlled environment means virtually no weather delays. Materials are ordered, received and safely stored in a dry warehouse so replacement due to weather damage or loss is eliminated. It also means that while your home is being constructed in the factory, that site development is occurring simultaneously, significantly shortening the completion time. Modules are “shrink-wrapped” at the factory to protect your home while being transported to your home site.
Structurally, modular homes have to be built much stronger than traditional homes. This is because each module must be engineered to independently tolerate the rigors of transportation to your job site and then being raised with straps by a crane and placed onto your foundation. Once together and with connections completed, the modules become one integrated wall, floor and roof assembly. Some complicated finishes require completion onsite and are scheduled for done quickly after the installation of the modules on the foundation. You should expect to be moving into your new home in as little as 4-6 weeks after delivery of your home to your job site.
Modular Homes are Custom Homes
What is a custom home? It is the opportunity for you to build a home that is specific to you, it is unique for you. Your custom home can be designed for the exact building site and it can include your specific choices of colors, finishes, and materials. You can start with your own custom house plan or you can start with one of our house plans and enhance it for your needs. A modular home isn’t limited in its design. You can build almost any custom home plan using modular construction. Impresa Modular is very experienced at creating truly custom homes using modular construction.
When it comes to building custom homes using modular construction – experience counts. At Impresa Modular we are the only nationwide custom home builder that exclusively uses modular construction. This means that you get to take advantage of our knowledge, experience, and understanding when it comes to developing truly unique custom home designs and then building them using modern modular construction. There are many custom home builders out there. Modern modular construction means less homeowner headaches. Indoor construction in a controlled environment means exterior finishes are completed last, instead of first. We can build your new home from the inside out, the opposite of conventional outdoor construction. What this means to you is that the building envelope of your new home can be constructed to be super energy efficient. This just comes standard with modular homes and their construction process. Increased insulation, better sealants, and the use of advanced materials are just a few of the reasons to adopt the worry-free benefits of modular construction for your new home.
