Innovation Through Custom Modular Homes
Buying an Impresa Modular home can provide many benefits when it comes to acquiring quality modular homes at the best value. As the country’s only nationwide modular home builder, our experience and size in building custom modular homes gives us several unique abilities. We share the savings we obtain through our use of modern construction techniques, value engineering, and volume purchases of building materials with our clients. We call it giving our clients more home for their money, all while delivering the highest level of service and support to you.
Using modern modular construction techniques allow us to produce modular homes with the highest level of attention to detail. There once was a time when doors and windows were built on-site. But the pursuit of performance and innovation led to factory-built doors and windows of much higher quality and much greater energy efficiency. The art of home building is moving in the same direction. We are leading the way to a point where all new homes will be built in a factory environment. As a leader in custom modular construction, let the team at Impresa Modular share their expertise to provide you with an enjoyable home building experience.
Planning Your Modular Home
Modular homes are built in a modern, climate controlled factory. Every module is can insure that your home gets the attention to detail that you require. Quality material is standard and the latest in building technology is used to construct your new home. Only after final inspection are the modules prepped for transport to your home site.
Delivery of your new custom modular home is generally scheduled as soon as possible after factory completion and your home site is ready. Almost immediately after your home is done in the factory, delivery is planned after confirmation that the job site is ready. Once your home is delivered, Impresa Modular will coordinate the set of your home on the foundation with an expert set and crane crew. It all occurs very quickly at this point in the process. At this stage, the site and basement utilities get done, the heating system is installed (if not factory completed) and the concrete and yard work are done. In the final stage, the interior finish will be completed between the modular sections, this will include finishing floor seams, marriage wall doors and jambs, and drywall and paint touch up. Most modular homes will be done within approximately 6 weeks of delivery and ready for you to enjoy!
Modular Construction Brings You Custom Homes By Design
Impresa Modular builds custom homes. While we may have thousands of standard home plans to review, we rarely build with them. Our prospective home buyers will use those plans as a “good start” towards designing their own custom home plan or they will supply us with a custom house plan from a different source. Some will use our free design tool and create their own house plan for us to “modularize” and use it to build their custom home. We are exclusive partners with a major custom house plan company, Architectural Designs, which makes available in excess of 28,000 custom house plans. We have joined with them to develop a modular friendly custom home plan collection that gives you access to thousands of plans that can be purchased and built using modular construction.
There is really no such thing as a modular home. Modular is a construction technique, not a type of home. Impresa Modular is a custom home builder that chooses to only use modular construction for delivery of our custom built homes. Because we are the only nationwide modular home builder we have distinct experience and insights that give you an advantage. Almost all custom builders only build homes in small geographic areas limiting their exposure to ideas, new methods, and unique building materials. You get the benefit of our broad exposure to how custom homes are built across the country.
Energy Efficiency
With today’s sophisticated computer modeling and the increased requirement for high performance, energy efficient custom homes; modular construction is a natural fit to fill the need. Many areas call for the use of the HERS Index to measure energy efficiency of new homes. The HERS index is a scoring system developed by the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) in which a home built to the specifications of the HERS Reference Home scores a HERS Index of 100, while a net zero energy home scores a HERS Index of 0. The lower a home’s HERS Index, the more energy efficient it is in comparison to the HERS Reference Home. Modular homes can typically reach scores of 50 – 60 with little extra costs or changes to our normal building method.
Modern modular construction means less homeowner headaches. Indoor construction in a controlled environment means exterior finishes are done last, instead of first. We can build your new home from the inside out, as opposed to conventional construction which builds from the outside in. What this means to you is that the outside envelope of your new home can be built to be highly air-tight. This just comes standard with modular homes and their construction process. Additional insulation, better sealants, and the use of modern materials are a couple of the reasons to select the worry-free benefits of modular construction for your new home.
