The construction process takes place at a state-of-the-art factory built with the sole intention of constructing custom modular homes protected under roof. How is this different from other custom builders? With traditional, historic, outdoor construction methods your home can be subject to weather, water, mud, etc. Impresa Modular builds your home indoors in segments called modules within a state-of-the-art, climate- controlled factory. Once completed, the modules are shipped directly to your home site. Designing A New Modular Home
Constructing off-site in a factory environment using modular construction techniques provides many inherent green advantages over historic, site-built construction. It does this by minimizing site disturbance, cutting down vehicle traffic, and reducing the building costs of modular homes. Building indoors means delays due to weather are essentially eliminated. Materials and supplies are ordered, received and safely stored in a dry warehouse so replacement due to weather damage or theft is eliminated. It also means that while your home is being built in the factory, that site development is happening concurrently, significantly reducing the the project timeframe. Modules are carefully sealed at the factory to protect your home while being delivered to your job site.
With factory construction, modular homes are completed to a level of about 75-85%. Once the home is on your property, Impresa Modular, will erect your home on the prepared foundation. The full process of transport, installation, and finish is strictly carried out. Onsite, the remainder of the finish work is done. The checklist of items includes: connection of utilities, interior and exterior button-up, and the balance of site work which may include porches, driveways, sidewalks, yard, etc. Most homes, once set on your foundation, are completed and ready to move into within about 6 weeks.
