Safe and Healthy Living With Modular Homes
When you demand quality but require value, modern modular construction delivers. Impresa Modular is the only nationwide builder of modular homes in the country and we lead the industry in innovation. Our process reduces overhead, keeps your custom home project on schedule and produces high-quality custom built homes. By using state-of-the-art design systems, we can create highly customized floor plans using the flexibility of modular design. From 500 to 3,500 sq. ft. and larger, we can design your dream home and deliver it using modular construction quickly. Gone are the days of waiting up to a year to get your custom home. As a leader in custom, on-your-lot construction, our team is with you every step of the way as you create your dream home.
The construction process takes place at a state-of-the-art factory built with the sole intention of constructing custom modular homes protected under roof. How is this different from other custom builders? With traditional, historic, outdoor construction methods your home can be subject to weather, water, mud, etc. Impresa Modular builds your home indoors in segments called modules within a state-of-the-art, climate- controlled factory. Once completed, the modules are shipped directly to your home site. Our expertise, which we share with you, lies in creating custom homes, while efficiently and effectively delivering your home at the highest value available today.
Designing Your Modular Home
Building off-site in a controlled environment using the modular construction methodology provides many inherent green advantages over conventional construction. It does this by minimizing disturbance to the site, reducing vehicular traffic, and lowering the construction costs of modular homes. Building in a controlled environment means virtually no weather delays. Materials are ordered, received and safely stored in a dry warehouse so replacement due to weather damage or loss is eliminated. It also means that while your home is being constructed in the factory, that site development is occurring simultaneously, significantly shortening the completion time. Modules are “shrink-wrapped” at the factory to protect your home while being transported to your home site.
Traditional construction just doesn’t stand up to the rigors that modular construction is designed to withstand. Strength is built right into our modular homes to insure it is flawlessly installed on the foundation at your home site. A modular home can consist of as few as two modules and be made up of as many as 15 or even more. Modular design flexibility means your home can be built in practically any style: Chalet, Cape Cod, Two Story, Arts and Crafts, Contemporary, etc. You can get all of the advantages modular construction offers over traditionally built homes with no need to sacrifice the style you want or the exterior finish you require. The only thing that distinguishes a finished modular home from a site built home is the factory quality that was designed in.
Custom Home Plans and Modular Construction
Impresa Modular builds custom homes. While we may have thousands of standard home plans to review, we rarely build with them. Our prospective home buyers will use those plans as a “good start” towards designing their own custom home plan or they will provide us with a custom house plan from another source. Some will use our free design tool and create their own house plan for us to “modularize” and use it to build their custom home. We are exclusive partners with a major custom house plan company, Architectural Designs, which makes available over 28,000 custom house plans. We have teamed with them to develop a modular friendly custom home plan collection that gives you access to thousands of house plans that can be purchased and built using modular construction.
There is really no such thing as a modular home. Modular is a construction technique, not a type of home. Impresa Modular is a custom home builder that chooses to only use modular construction for delivery of our custom built homes. Because we are the only nationwide modular home builder we have unique experience and insights that give you an advantage. Nearly all custom builders only build homes in small geographic areas limiting their exposure to ideas, new methods, and unique building materials. You get the benefit of our broad exposure to how custom homes are built across the country.
Energy Efficiency
Today’s homebuyer demands energy efficiency. Impresa Modular prides itself in building the most energy efficient home possible. Currently an Energy Star partner, Impresa Modular offers many features as standard that meets or exceeds current Energy Star, LEED, and Green Building Standards. Impresa Modular allows you, the customer, the option to custom tailor any of our modular homes to meet the requirements for the program of your choosing. If it’s an optional Energy Star Certified home you require, Impresa Modular will team up with a third party Energy Star rater to guarantee your new home meets or exceeds the current requirements mandated by Energy Star.
Modern modular construction means less homeowner headaches. Indoor construction in a controlled environment means exterior finishes are completed last, instead of first. We can build your new home from the inside out, the opposite of conventional outdoor construction. What this means to you is that the building envelope of your new home can be fabricated to be super energy efficient. This just comes standard with modular homes and their construction process. Increased insulation, better sealants, and the use of advanced materials are just a few of the reasons to decide-on the worry-free benefits of modular construction for your new home.
